DAVENHAM WI

A REFRESHED BRAND IDENTITY THAT MERGES TRADITION, MODERN VALUES AND COMMUNITY TO INSPIRE CONNECTION

For this freelance project, I created a refreshed brand identity and a suite of print and digital assets for Davenham WI - a thriving community group with over 90 years of history. The goal was to honour the group’s heritage while engaging a new generation of members.

  • Based in rural Cheshire in Northwest England and founded in 1931, Davenham WI is a thriving branch of the Women’s Institute, an international organisation dedicated to empowering women, fostering friendships and enriching communities. With activities ranging from educational talks and creative workshops to local campaigns, charitable initiatives and village fêtes, Davenham WI inspires women to develop skills, take on challenges and make a positive impact.

The resulting design work balances tradition with progress, creating a vibrant and welcoming visual identity that resonates with existing members and appeals to potential newcomers.
